Inefável, a free translation from the Portuguese of "ineffable".
This installation is a semantic challenge that questions the form of linguistic understanding.
Inefável was part of the project "New Canvas" from Professor Ingerl at the HTW Berlin in 2022.
In the exhibitions of the 2022 Biennale di Venezia, media art and film were virtually banned and the focus was placed almost exclusively on the traditional forms of expression of the visual arts. As a consequence, the country pavilions largely featured media art, with a number of "small countries" standing out with very exciting exhibitions.
Each student created a "work" that is neither a painting nor photography, neither animation nor video clip, neither info screen nor digital signage, but "something else". The canvas is dead - long live the monitors.
In the end, all results will be presented together and simultaneously as a Petersburg hanging.
